Summary Of Position
The receptionist is a support staff position responsible for answering calls, directing calls and assisting callers with appropriate information. The receptionist meets and greets all who enter the assigned location, signs guests in using the RAPTOR security system, and directs them to the desired location. Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to handle all situations in a professional manner regarding the public, staff and students. Must possess computer skills. Complete various local, state and federal reports. Provide a wide variety of services to students. This position reports directly to the school's Principal.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours a day; 260 days per year

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Must be able to answer and direct all calls in a professional manner.
- Greet and assist visitors.
- Distribute all mail and packages received.
- Assist Principal's secretary with special projects when necessary.
- Greet substitute teachers and provide schedules.
- Word process documents/correspondence as needed.
- Maintain attendance database and sending school's reporting.
- Communication to sending schools daily attendance/discipline and 90/120/180-day reporting.
- Complete assigned Child Accounting Reports to PDE.
- Work with members of the data division to ensure all reports are accurate.
- Schedule truancy hearings and send letters to parents, students and sending schools.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned by Principal.
- Education and Experience
- High School Degree, or equivalent required
- Previous secretial experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
