Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer tube feedings.
- Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor on a daily basis.
- Documentation of prescription medication administration to students in electronic medical system.
- Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
- Attend field trips and community-based trips.
- Provide tracheostomy care and, if needed, replacement of tracheostomy tube.
- Support with toileting routines in the nurse's office.
- Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
- Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required OR LPN program completed required
- Current registered nurse licensure required OR LPN licensure required
- Experience working with special needs children preferred.
- Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required (must be dated within one year of hire date).
