Description
The Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA)/DTI Paraeducator works in a special education program with elementary aged children at Doolittle School with emotionally based disabilities under the direction of the special education teachers and school psychologist.
The ABA/DTI Paraeducator Will Be Able To
Special Education Supervisor and/or School Principal
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a high school diploma. (New College Grads encouraged to apply!!! Good experience for future psychologists, social workers and special education teachers.)
Preferred But Not Necessary
Associates and/or or Bachelors degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field.
Experience working directly with children with autism and/or behavioral challenges within a behavioral program preferred .
PMT or similar training
Salary
In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides. Starting Salary $25.18/hour. Benefits Available.

Description
The Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA)/DTI Paraeducator works in a special education program with elementary aged children at Doolittle School with emotionally based disabilities under the direction of the special education teachers and school psychologist.
The ABA/DTI Paraeducator Will Be Able To
- Implement individual and small group instruction to students with specific behavior programs
- Implement lesson plans developed by the special education teacher, school psychologist or BCBA to support student success in all school settings
- Be responsible for managing and organizing lesson materials, preparations and other functions to support each students individualized education plan (IEP)
- Be responsible for data collection and maintaining documentation for each student.
- Be responsible for following behavior intervention plans under the supervision of the, school psychologist, BCBA and special education teacher.
- Participate in ongoing professional learning
