NORTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
28.75 HOUR (8:45 AM - 3:00 PM)
Description
Paraeducator to work supporting students during whole and small group instruction as well as working with individual children throughout the day. Responsibilities include supervising lunch and recess and accompanying students to specials (art, music). Experience working with young children is necessary and an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices is desirable. Other tasks as needed to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
Supervised By: School principal.
Qualifications
Two years of college credit OR Associates Degree or higher OR has passed a State Board of Education Adopted paraprofessional assessment.
Salary: In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides. Benefits Available.
