Cheshire Fitness Zone (CFZ) Pediatric Therapy is dedicated to serving children and adolescents of all ages and abilities. Offering physical, occupational, and speech therapy, CFZ provides specialized therapeutic environments, including a physical therapy gym with child-sized equipment, sensory gyms for occupational therapy, and individual treatment rooms for speech therapy. Every program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, supported by a professional team with extensive pediatric experience. CFZ also offers innovative services such as feeding and aquatic therapy to address a range of developmental and therapeutic needs.
This is a full-time, on-site Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist role located in Cheshire, CT. The Speech Language Pathologist will work with children and adolescents of various ages and abilities. Key responsibilities include assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy sessions, and consulting with families to support their child’s progress. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team within CFZ is a vital component of this role.
- Knowledge and expertise in Speech Therapy and Speech-related practices
- Experience with Dysphagia and Communication Disorders
- Proficiency in evaluating and treating Language Disorders
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills to collaborate with families and colleagues
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program
- State licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain them
- Pediatric experience is highly desirable
