Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a prominent construction organization to identify an experienced Safety Director to develop, implement, and manage the company’s safety programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations. This role is critical in fostering a culture of safety within the organization, with a focus on commercial drywall and government contracting projects..
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee safety policies, site inspections, and compliance with OSHA/EM 385-1-1.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Manage workers’ comp, training, and site-specific safety plans.
- Serve as main contact for regulators and client safety reps.
- Support project teams and subcontractors with safety planning.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of construction safety management (drywall/government projects preferred).
- OSHA 30 & OSHA 500 required; CSP/CHST a plus.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA & construction safety best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to job sites.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
