What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Layer/Laborer position at Chesapeake Geosystems, Inc?
This position requires overnight travel. This is NOT a local or home daily position. You will be away from home Monday-Friday. Weekends at home guaranteed.
Chesapeake Geosystems, based in Baltimore, MD, is hiring experienced pipelayers to assist with geothermal installations. You’ll handle pipe, dig trenches, backfill, and support geothermal crews.
Requirements:
- Prior construction or pipelaying experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel weekdays (overnight)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude and good work ethic
- Attention to safety and ability to follow instructions
Physical Demand:
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness and humidity
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 80 lbs. of heavy equipment
- Frequent physical activity, including reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling climbing
