We’re Hiring: Pipe Layer

Are you skilled in underground utility installation and want to grow with a company that values craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork? At Total Civil Construction & Engineering, we’re looking for a Pipe Layer to support the installation of water, sewer, and storm systems on major civil construction projects.
What You'll Do
As a Pipe Layer, you’ll be hands-on in the field installing underground utilities to spec, working alongside equipment operators, labor crews, and site supervisors.
Your work will include:
Lay and align water, sewer, and storm drain pipes
Confirm trench grades using lasers, grade rods, and levels
Connect and seal joints using approved materials and methods
Excavate and backfill trenches safely around existing utilities
Assist Operators and Laborers during trench and pipe installation
Perform general labor and site cleanup as required
Follow instructions from Foreman / Superintendent and work as a team
藺 What You Bring
Experience:
2 years of experience in underground utilities or civil site construction (required)
Skills & Knowledge:
Ability to read grades and understand slope requirements
Comfortable working in trenches (15–20 ft depth) and outdoor conditions
Good communication and teamwork skills
Able to use hand tools, compactors, and trench safety equipment
Physically able to lift, carry, dig, and perform manual labor tasks
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation to reach project sites
Knowledge of construction safety practices
English or Spanish - Spanish speaking strongly welcome
