Job Summary
Cheryl's on 12th is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Restaurant Cashier to join our team. This position will handle guest orders and payments, operate the POS system, assist with food and beverage service, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
Process cash, credit card, and other payments accurately.
Provide receipts and verify transaction amounts when needed.
Answer menu questions and provide helpful information about available items.
Coordinate with kitchen and restaurant team members to ensure orders are accurate.
Package and organize takeout and pickup orders.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier station.
Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies.
Assist with dining-area and general restaurant cleaning duties.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
Support the restaurant team during busy service periods.
Qualifications
Previous cashier, restaurant, café, hospitality, or food-service experience preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
