Welcome to Cherry Health - video about Cherry Health This is a full time, benefit eligible, position typically working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm onsite at our downtown Grand Rapids location. This position is responsible for participating in patient assessment and providing care, education, and instruction to patients using symptom-based telephone triage. Must adhere to the organizational Policies, Procedures, Code of Ethics, and all licensing and accreditation standards of the position. Must represent the organization’s Mission in all actions and communications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • • Complete patient assessment, education and, as appropriate, patient scheduling telephonically. • Utilize knowledge in conjunction with approved protocols and standards in advising patients and parents. • Ensure call-backs are made as appropriate. • Document nursing action in medical records utilizing defined standard. Participate in the quality assurance program for Contact Center. Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets for Contact Center. • May be required to translate other languages if applicable. • Understands and adheres to CSHS’s compliance standards as they appear in CSHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and CSHS’s regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities to quickly assess and prioritize patient needs. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Basic Life Support / CPR training according to requirements of license and/or certification. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and maintain self-direction. Working knowledge of computers and their applications preferred. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines and high volumes. In lieu of the specified education and experience requirements, a proven capability to perform the essential functions of the job, as demonstrated by an equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
