- Provide professional nursing care to support neurologists, physicians, and APPs in managing stroke patients throughout the continuum of care.
- Focus on acute stroke alerts, emergency interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, evidence-based treatment.
- Perform neurological assessments, follow treatment protocols, and assist with patient transport and transfers.
- Serve as a clinical resource for stroke protocols, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Educate patients, families, and staff about stroke care.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum three years of RN acute care experience with stroke patients.
- Current Illinois RN licensure, CPR, and NIHSS certification; ACLS certification within three months.
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- 5 years of critical care or inpatient stroke care experience.
- Experience with acute stroke patient management.
- Ability to maintain professionalism during stressful situations.
