Registered Nurse - ICU

This RN position at the Saint Raphael Campus offers a Medicine MICU/SDU RN Pathway designed for nurses interested in critical care, providing mentorship, shadowing, and targeted ICU and step-down training.

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care according to policies and procedures.
• Provide supervision to non-RN staff and assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed.
• Deliver ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and involve patients and families in education.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff and demonstrate competency in neuro and ventilator patient care, airway management, and special neuro procedures.
• Perform skills such as suctioning, equipment care, and caring for trached and halo brace patients.
• Qualifications include a valid Connecticut RN license, BSN preferred, BLS certification, and proficiency in electronic records and internet research.
