The Radiology Technologist performs medical imaging examinations under physician supervision, producing clear x-ray images, positioning patients, and instructing on procedures. They operate portable and fixed imaging equipment, process films for interpretation, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications And Skills
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, completed an approved radiological training program, and hold ARRT certification. Current BLS certification is required. Preferred candidates have at least one year of diagnostic radiology experience, experience in an acute care setting, and ARRT(R) licensure. Leadership experience and 3-5 years of radiology work are advantageous.
