Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiation therapy, verifying patient identity and treatment details.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, assist with patient immobilization, and transfer patients to treatment areas.
- Monitor patients during treatment for reactions or complications, reporting issues to physicians.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and review patient charts for errors.
- Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students' practical skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Required certifications include ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT).
- Preferred education includes a Bachelor's or Master's degree in radiological technology.
- Experience in radiologic technology is advantageous.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols, patient care, and record keeping.
