Role Overview: The Dental Assistant provides patient greeting, education, and comfort, conducts health history reviews, and performs diagnostic procedures such as X-rays and digital assessments.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver chairside assistance during diverse procedures, utilize dental software for scheduling and record-keeping, prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols, manage supplies and inventory, and support office workflow improvements.
Qualifications & Skills: Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, customer service experience, certification and/or x-ray certification as per state requirements, excellent communication and organizational skills, and HIPAA compliance awareness.
Preferred Experience: Minimum one year in a dental setting, familiarity with Dentrix or similar software, and dental assisting certification.
Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations, sit/stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 45 pounds, attend training sessions, and pass a TB test if applicable.
