Role Overview: Support the Nutrition and Food Services Team by managing daily operations, clerical tasks, and record maintenance. Assist in coordinating food delivery in compliance with CACFP, Head Start Standards, and federal guidelines. Perform routine decision-making, troubleshooting, and interpret procedural information. Engage with staff, families, and providers to ensure accurate documentation and dietary accommodations.

- Maintain and organize department records, including CACFP paperwork, dietary statements, and child files to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate record requests with medical providers, follow up on incomplete responses, and manage Release of Information records.
- Conduct meal observations, perform kitchen check-ins, identify concerns, and communicate with staff to support food service quality.
- Assist families and providers with food alerts, diet concerns, and medical statements for proper dietary accommodations.
- Support administrative functions related to KidKare, Child Plus, and vendor documentation; assist with menu translations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the Nutrition Team in regulatory compliance and program processes.
- Minimum three years of business-related experience; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, with experience in data monitoring, compliance, and report generation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to follow instructions, audit records accurately, and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and take initiative.
- Knowledge of budgeting and accounting practices is advantageous.
