Role: Mammography Technologist responsible for performing specialized breast examinations to aid in diagnosis and treatment, utilizing advanced equipment and ensuring high-quality imaging.
Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostic and screening mammograms, assist radiologists with complex procedures such as biopsies, provide patient education, and uphold safety and infection control protocols. Document procedures accurately and address patient needs with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, valid CA Radiologic Tech and Mammography certifications, ARRT-R certification, and BLS certification. Preferred experience in mammography and additional licenses such as fluoroscopy and venipuncture enhance qualifications.
Skills: Technical proficiency in mammography, strong patient communication, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety guidelines. Capable of collaborating with radiology teams and managing complex procedures effectively.
