Licensed Practical Nurse Role
Summary: Provides direct patient care under supervision, performs clerical duties, maintains records, and communicates across departments.
Key Responsibilities: Collects clinical data, triages calls, documents observations, performs venipuncture, administers injections, and ensures timely patient care. Assists with specimen collection, monitors vital signs, and instructs patients on specimen procedures. Maintains safety standards, manages supplies, monitors equipment, and handles administrative tasks such as registration, data entry, and record keeping. Ensures compliance with confidentiality and patient rights policies.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program, current NY State LPN license, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in venipuncture. Preferred: three years of ambulatory care experience.
Physical Demands: Active role requiring frequent movement, communication, and interaction with patients and staff to perform essential functions effectively.
