- Supervise residents to ensure security through checks, monitoring, and camera surveillance.
- Identify behavioral or mental health crises and intervene per policies, including crisis assessments and documentation.
- Facilitate therapeutic interventions using CBT, RBT, psychoeducation, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Assist with medical emergencies, administer first aid, dispense medications, and support off-site medical appointments.
- Support residents' daily routines, including housekeeping, meal distribution, and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate resident files, assist with intakes, and monitor resident behavior and discipline.
- Escort residents and visitors, monitor visitations, and supervise community volunteers.
- Train new staff and volunteers, and ensure adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.
- Two years of college coursework in child development or related field, or equivalent experience with at least 3 years working with at-risk youth.
- Certification and training in evidence-based practices, with adherence to confidentiality.
- Ability to handle stress, multitask, and provide excellent customer service.
- Physical ability to perform restraint, lift heavy weights, and conduct safety checks.
- Strong communication skills and capacity to operate security equipment and computers.
