Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Treatment Counsleor to join our inpatient substance abuse treatment program. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals struggling with addiction, develop tailored treatment plans, and contribute to a supportive and healing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group sessions to address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical staff, therapists, and case managers, to deliver holistic care.
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support to clients during their recovery journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions and educate families on addiction and recovery processes.
- Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Licensed in the State of Kansas to provide substance abuse counseling (LAC, LMAC, LCAC)
- Senate Bill certified preferred.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals in substance abuse treatment programs, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities, such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual capabilities are highly valued.
- Additional licensure (LPC, LMFT, LMSW) or working on additional licensure highly preferred.
