Director of Finance – Nonprofit
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Reports to: Executive Director
Lead the finance function for a collaborative, values-centered nonprofit with a $20M annual budget. As Director of Finance, you’ll oversee accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning to ensure fiscal responsibility and support the organization’s mission.

Lead the finance function for a collaborative, values-centered nonprofit with a $20M annual budget. As Director of Finance, you’ll oversee accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning to ensure fiscal responsibility and support the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all finance and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and nonprofit standards
- Lead annual audits and manage cash flow projections
- Present financial insights to leadership and board members
- Supervise and mentor the finance team
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 7–10 years of progressive financial management experience, including 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and nonprofit compliance
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
- Excellent communication and board presentation skills
