What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Setup position at Cherokee Nation Entertainment?
As a Banquet Setup team member, you will be a crucial part of our events department, preparing the physical space for all banquet and catering functions at our Catoosa/Will Rogers Downs properties. You will handle everything from tables and chairs to décor and serving utensils, ensuring every detail is perfect before guests arrive. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Handle the proper setup and teardown of all banquet and catering functions, including tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, linens, and all necessary serving ware and décor.
- Ensure all aspects of setup and teardown are completed in a timely manner with exceptional attention to detail for every event.
- Perform all assigned side duties per shift to support overall banquet operations.
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards for shared areas of responsibility. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all team members and guests at all times.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1-year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have the ability to acquire a Food Handler’s Card from the Cherokee Nation.
- Must have passed all Alcohol Awareness training provided by CNE.
- Constant standing and walking. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working with strong exposure to smoke, noise, and bright lights, typical of a casino and event setting
