Distribution Quality Control Specialist

This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

The Distribution Quality Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing quality control programs within distribution operations. This includes planning and evaluating quality programs, identifying and resolving quality issues, and providing technical guidance on system evaluations and data analysis. The specialist conducts quality control inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements and regulatory standards. Utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Government Data Systems, the role ensures continuous improvement and adherence to established quality control procedures, while supporting audit readiness and internal controls.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Distribution Quality Control Specialist : $ Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Distribution Quality Control Specialist Responsibilities Include:

Lead the planning and evaluation of quality programs, ensuring all processes align with established standards and requirements.

Identify and resolve quality issues, providing technical advisory services related to system evaluations, data analysis, and the development of quality control procedures.

Conduct quality control surveillances to assess processes, procedures, and adherence to contract specifications, including Audit Readiness Internal Controls as part of QC inspection criteria.

Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other Government Data Systems to monitor and manage quality performance.

Ensure continuous improvement by analyzing performance data and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Provide guidance on quality control best practices and compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Skills

Distribution Quality Control Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a related field).

Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, logistics, or distribution management, with a focus on process evaluation and compliance.

Experience in conducting audits, quality assessments, and ensuring adherence to contract requirements and industry standards.

Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, processes, and standards.

Proficiency in WMS and other data management systems commonly used in logistics and distribution environments.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure compliance with contract requirements and regulatory standards.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and providing advisory services.

Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and quality procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of audit practices and readiness for internal control assessments.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
