As the Material Expeditor you will ensure the prompt vendor delivery and order fulfillment to support the continuous flow of material and equipment for the construction efforts. Effective organizational and communication skills are needed to maintain situational awareness across warehouse activities for the CCRC management team.

Responsibilities
Material Expeditor Responsibilities include:
- Upon Purchase Order (PO) issuance, establish communication with vendor to explain data and referencing requirements for all shipments and provide contact information for any issues or concerns to ensure prompt delivery and order fulfillment.
- Research and resolve discrepancies identified during the receiving process by working with the Construction team, commercial vendors & suppliers, and CCRC receiving team.
- Work with vendors to promptly correct discrepancies and fulfill any shortages.
- Monitor status of shortage list items by tracking numbers or estimated ship dates.
- Notify the Receiving, Inventory Control, and Transportation teams when orders are complete.
- Work closely with Inventory Control and Transportation teams to enable smooth workflow, including completion of ‘Hot’ Equipment Transfer Requests (ETRs).
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Update current status reports.
- Update Monthly Progress Report (MPR).
- Update Standard Operation Procedures, as needed.
- Support Quality & Safety Manager initiatives.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Material Expeditor – ATA Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, and 2 years of experience in logistics support.
- Excellent verbal (phone and in-person) and written (e-mail and correspondence) communication skills using professional etiquette are required.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with Royal 4 WISE Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task between concurrent work orders and projects on a daily basis.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy for compliant and complete reports, documentation, and data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for long periods.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification, ability to be certified within 60 days of hire date.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
