Cherokee Country Club is seeking an experienced, passionate, and service-driven Food & Beverage Director to lead our dining operations and elevate the exceptional experiences our members have come to expect. This leadership position oversees all food and beverage operations, including multiple dining outlets, banquet and private event services, bars, beverage programs, and daily clubhouse dining.

Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for the overall management, planning, organization, and execution of all food and beverage operations throughout the Club. This position works closely with the Executive Chef and department managers to ensure exceptional service, operational excellence, financial performance, and outstanding member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all food and beverage operations for restaurants, lounges, bars, banquets, and special events.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop managers and team members.
- Foster a positive, professional, and engaging culture focused on teamwork and accountability.
- Ensure exceptional member service through consistent hospitality standards.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menus, seasonal offerings, promotions, and special events.
- Maintain high standards for food quality, beverage service, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Develop and manage department budgets while monitoring revenue, labor, and expenses.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee scheduling to maximize service while controlling labor costs.
- Address member feedback promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with all departments to provide seamless service during Club events and functions.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the member dining experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive food and beverage management experience.
- Private club, resort, luxury hotel, or upscale restaurant experience strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing multiple outlets and large teams.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor costs, and inventory.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead by example and inspire a culture of hospitality and excellence.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale and food and beverage management systems.
