Duties
- Perform automotive structural repairs including frame straightening, welding repair, and sheet metal fabrication using MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment
- Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, and automotive cosmetic repairs utilizing sanding tools and finishing techniques
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication repair techniques to restore vehicle bodies to factory specifications
- Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision and care
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks related to auto restoration projects and ensure all repairs meet safety standards
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and assist in auto estimating processes when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and use of tools
Skills
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in auto restoration with dealership or independent shops preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, and auto body repair techniques
- Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication using various automotive welding equipment
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, parts installation, and general automotive repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair equipment
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong customer service skills
