What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gaffney Middle School Athletic Coordinator - Interviews on going position at Cherokee Co School District 1?
Qualifications:
- Teaching preferred with at least three years experience in athletic administration or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the knowledge and skills required for the position
- Demonstrated knowledge of interscholastic athletics
- Previous experience in coaching
- Demonstrated ability to generate monetary support for all athletics
- Demonstrated experience in athletic facilities development and maintenance
- Knowledge of post-secondary athletic rules and regulations
- Principal experience preferred
- Valid South Carolina driver's license
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid South Carolina CDL license
Performance Responsibilities and Services:
- Reports directly to the District Athletic Director and Principal.
- Assists the district athletic and principal in the selection and evaluation of the coaching staff.
- Represents the school at athletic conference meetings.
- Serves as game manager for home athletic events.
- Assist with coordinating all athletic banquets.
- Assist and/or prepare eligibility for the athletes.
- RECOMMENDS approval for athletic purchases.
- Keeps the principal/district athletic director informed of athletic problems and progress.
- Knowledgeable of all SCHSL rules and regulations.
- Assist coaches in making all travel arrangements .
- Attend all home athletic events. (Principal may designate attendance at other games)
