Summary

Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Sergeant to supervise armed security personnel supporting a federal security contract. This position is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, maintaining staffing coverage, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and supporting the protection of personnel, facilities, and government assets.

• The ideal candidate is a proven leader with armed security, law enforcement, or military experience who demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities. This role offers the opportunity to lead frontline security personnel while ensuring operational excellence and mission success.
  
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and leadership to assigned armed security personnel.
• Administer instructions and operational guidance to officers assigned to the contract.
• Ensure all security personnel are familiar with assigned facilities, post orders, duties, and responsibilities.
• Monitor workforce performance and ensure compliance with contract requirements and security procedures.
• Manage staffing assignments and maintain complete post coverage.
• Coordinate staffing adjustments for absences, call-offs, vacations, training events, and operational requirements.
• Communicate operational updates, policy changes, and security concerns to assigned personnel.
• Support workforce accountability, operational readiness, and contract compliance initiatives.
• Assist with incident response and operational problem resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain Armed Security Guard certification through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an armed security guard, law enforcement officer, or related security professional.
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Possess an active Secret Clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification through the American Red Cross or equivalent approved provider.
• Must successfully meet Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer, including:
• 1.5-mile run completed within 17 minutes and 30 seconds.
• 19 push-ups completed within two minutes.
• Must successfully complete and pass the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).
• Ability to supervise personnel in a professional security environment.
• Ability to maintain all required certifications, licenses, and qualifications.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, or a related field.
• Experience supervising personnel on a federal government security contract.
• Military leadership, law enforcement supervisory, or security management experience.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense or other federal agencies.
• Additional certifications in First Aid, emergency response, or security operations.

• Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, and complete required documentation.
