The Dispatcher/Alarm Monitor monitors the CCTV and intrusion, fire, and duress alarms and early warning systems.
- This position is continget upon contract award*
- Answer public and police calls for assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations on the telephone and radio.
- Oversee control and issuance of keys from communications center.
- Provides security for assigned work area and equipment.
- Relay information to/from police or security supervisors, takes messages, and obtains clear and accurate information & relays to all pertinent personnel.
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum one (1) year of Dispatch/Alaram Monitor experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Certified to perform the duties and meet the minimum standards established by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Institute Emergency Telecommunication.
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Ability to interact and communicate with people over the telephone, often in stressful situations.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material.
