Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
As an Access Control Officer, you will:
- Monitor and control access to government facilities and restricted areas.
- Verify visitor identities and issue temporary access credentials in accordance with established policies.
- Screen personnel and visitors using magnetometers and X-ray equipment.
- Conduct security inspections and facility access checks to ensure compliance with security procedures.
- Secure and safeguard government property, equipment, and facilities.
- Identify, document, and immediately report security violations or suspicious activity.
- Respond to emergencies and provide CPR, AED, and First Aid assistance when needed.
- Support special security operations and events in coordination with the Security Operations Center.
- Assist emergency responders, law enforcement, and other authorized personnel as directed.
- Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certified (100%), and trained in Red Cross First Aid.
