This position will assist with ongoing and expanding research projects involving gene-edited cavefish and Drosophila.

This position will assist with ongoing and expanding research projects involving gene-edited cavefish and Drosophila.
Opportunities to Contribute
- Assembles, operates, and maintains laboratory and technical equipment, including updating laboratory computers and providing logistical support with computer systems.
- Maintains laboratory spaces in compliance with OSHA standards, performs routine clean-up of labs and prep rooms, and manages inventory by ordering necessary parts and supplies.
- Assists senior staff with major field experiments and contributes to developing procedures as needed.
- Supports the research participant pool by recruiting, screening, and maintaining participant records, and assists undergraduate and graduate students with their research projects.
- Participates in training and professional development sessions as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of related experience.
- Ability to lift and/or move medium weight objects.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
