Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or a closely related field prior to start date.
- Demonstrated research experience in environmental monitoring, environmental transport, or transformation processes.
- Experience with extraction and enrichment techniques for organic compounds in environmental samples, or experience in DNA enrichment or antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) transformation studies.
- Record of scholarly achievement, including at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through publications and presentations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
- Experience with advanced analytical instrumentation such as HPLC-UV, UV-Vis spectroscopy, TOC analyzers, nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA), IC, LC-MS/MS, or NMR.
- Demonstrated success in interdisciplinary research collaborations.
- Experience mentoring students or junior researchers.
- Familiarity with PFAS-related research or emerging contaminant analysis.
