Job Details
- This is a grant funded position
- Ph.D. in biology with at least 3 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise students at the undergraduate level.
- Must be able to work with potentially hazardous specimens.
- Ability to keep accurate records of research performed to NIH standards.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and software including MS office.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
- Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Must prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objects while under stress of a demanding work schedule.
- Responsible for independently performing a wide range of research functions based on agreed protocols and objectives.
- The candidate will study the mechanism of DNA repair in leukemia and solid tumor cells in various tissue-specific microenvironments. The methods to be used include tissue culture, molecular and cell biology procedures, DNA repair, flow cytometry, and in vivo experiments in various mouse models.
- Perform literary research and participating in the development of research protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned
