Chelsea Virtual Learning Academy (CVLA)
REPORTS TO:
Meg Maccini, Principal
GENERAL DUTIES:
Staff hired under this stipend will support the implementation of the Youth-Led Cultural Empowerment Grant funded through La Colaborativa. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the planning and facilitation of monthly Healing and Craft Circles for students
- Assisting with preparation and execution of student-led workshops, arts activities, and storytelling sessions
- Supporting the Artist in Residence program with materials, logistics, and student engagement
- Assisting with planning and coordination of the culminating “Comparsa” performance and community gallery event
- Supporting student voice, leadership development, and participation in all project components
- Helping with setup, cleanup, and coordination of events and activities
- Collaborating with CVLA staff, guest artists, and La Colaborativa partners to ensure smooth program implementation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to support hands-on arts, writing, or workshop-based programming
- Current CPS staff member or approved community partner (as applicable)
COMPENSATION:
Student hourly rate
