Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located in Chelsea, MA. The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing effective lesson plans, managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with parents and school staff, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The teacher will also assess student progress and adapt instruction as needed to ensure all students can reach their full potential.
Qualifications
- Expertise in working with students with Disabilities and a deep understanding of Special Education principles
- Proficiency in Teaching and experience with Middle School curriculum
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- State certification in Special Education for the appropriate grade level required
- Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is a plus
- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field preferred
