Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality production. This role works closely with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and design engineering teams to optimize manufacturing operations while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, reduced waste, and cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support new product introductions by developing manufacturing processes and validating production readiness.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and automation solutions.
  • Develop process layouts to optimize material flow and production efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap, cycle time, and throughput.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment reliability improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support production goals and continuous improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, welding, molding, or automation.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and process capability studies.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
