Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality production. This role works closely with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and design engineering teams to optimize manufacturing operations while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, reduced waste, and cost savings.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support new product introductions by developing manufacturing processes and validating production readiness.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and automation solutions.
- Develop process layouts to optimize material flow and production efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap, cycle time, and throughput.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment reliability improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support production goals and continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, welding, molding, or automation.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and process capability studies.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
