Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Associates degree or passing of the para test
- Knowledge and understanding of various disabilities
- Knowledge of school classroom procedure, including preparation and maintenance of records.
- Knowledge of special education procedures.
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the Elementary School level.
- Experience working with age appropriate students in a school setting.
- Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, socially in the school setting
- Assist students with toileting as needed
- Ability to follow directions and implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service
- Ability to collect data consistently
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable by the principal, special education
