Position: Long-Term Special Education Teacher --Grades 5 and 6
Location: Parker Middle School
Assignment Dates: 12/01/25- 12/23/25 Dates are subject to change
Description:
- Design, supervise and implement students’ IEP plans
- Instruct students using specialized curriculum.
- Develop curriculum modifications and adaptations.
- Participate in IEP Team meetings.
- Write effective IEPs for students
- Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress
- Effectively work with a team of professionals to coordinate services
- Consult with general education teacher and related service providers.
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional strategies to facilitate inclusion.
- Write quarterly progress reports for IEP goals that are data based on student performance.
- Administer various diagnostic achievement assessments (WIAT-4, Woodcock Johnson IV, Key Math, GORT 5, CTOPP etc.) that identifies student capabilities as part of initial and reevaluation for students.
- Write effective evaluation reports summarizing findings and making recommendations for assigned students.
