Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Vacancy for the 2025- 2026 School Year The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget. Position: Classroom Paraeducator Location: Chelmsford High School Description: Work with high school children, both in general education classrooms and the special education classroom to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and/or physically. Additional duties as required by the special education department or high school principal. QUALIFICATIONS: * Associate's Degree, two years of college or passing the para test. * Knowledge and understanding of various disabilities. * Knowledge of school classroom procedure, including preparation and maintenance of records. * Knowledge of special education procedures. * Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the High School level. * Ability to support students academically with high school curriculum. * Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting. * Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, and socially in the school setting * Assist students with toileting as needed * Ability to follow directions and implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service providers * Ability to collect data consistently if needed * Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable by the principal, special education coordinator, and Director of Student Services.
