What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Diesel Mechanic position at Cheeseman Transport?
We have full time positions available for Diesel mechanics at our Ft Recovery, Ohio facility.
We’re hiring for all shifts! Available positions and starting pay may vary based on experience
-$19 - $27 per hour
- plus 15% shift differential
Monthly Tool Allowance (Ask about our Toolbox Program!)
Job duties would include (but not limited to):
1. Preventative maintenance on equipment
2. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
3. Perform repairs as needed or directed
4. DOT inspections
5. Complete necessary paperwork on equipment and work performed
6. Maintain clean and safe work environment
7. Ensure completed work meets federal and state codes/regulations
8. Work collaboratively with other Technicians to evaluate and repair equipment
9. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor
Experience Level
- Minimum 1 year heavy diesel experience
- Desire to work Independently
