Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain healthy turf.
- Conduct landscape maintenance such as planting, pruning, tree trimming, shrubbery care, and flower bed upkeep.
- Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers, chainsaws) safely and efficiently.
- Utilize equipment like excavators for larger landscaping or construction projects as needed.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary repairs to ensure proper watering.
- Execute snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians.
- Carry out hardscape projects including the installation or repair of walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other structures.
- Support tree care activities such as planting new trees or trimming existing ones to promote health and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Requirements
- Proven experience with landscaping, lawn care, or grounds maintenance is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment.
- Familiarity with horticulture principles and plant care techniques.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators for construction or large-scale landscaping projects.
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including pruning, mowing, planting, and hardscape installation.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to the use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery in outdoor environments.
- Excellent physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is often required for equipment operation or transportation needs.
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
