This position is a 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri, 9AM-5PM) including medical, dental, and vision benefits, some travel in Cheatham County and surrounding areas, some in and out of state travel for training purposes, and some evening and weekend work is required. This is a full-time, in-person role at our Ashland City office.
Salary: 45,000 annually
The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as both a coordinator for CCCEC and a representative of the coalition in the community. This role combines coalition support, outreach, and program coordination to ensure that our work runs smoothly and effectively. The Coordinator is responsible for engaging coalition members and community partners, coordinating outreach activities and events and maintaining clear communication across multiple sectors. This position directly supports the coalition’s mission of substance use prevention and promoting community wellness. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and motivated, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for building connections and strengthening the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ø Live, work or have a significant affiliation with Cheatham County.
Ø High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ø Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Social Work preferred OR a least one-year experience in community organizing or a health-related field.
Ø Must pass a background check and a drug screen upon initial hire.
Ø Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
Ø Proficient with Microsoft office suite including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
Ø Proficient with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X) and digital tools (Canva, Survey Monkey, Wix, Constant Contact).
Ø Must have strong written and verbal communication skill, able to connect and build relationships with diverse community members and stakeholders.
Ø Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with a team.
Ø Ability to lift to 45 lbs. for event set up and office needs.
Duties:
Ø Coordinate and support Coalition prevention programs, trainings, outreach activities, and community events.
Ø Assist with planning, facilitation, and implementation of educational programs, evidence-based prevention activities, and Coalition initiatives across all sectors.
Ø Conduct outreach to new partners (faith organizations, healthcare providers, law enforcement, local businesses, government, youth-serving groups, etc.).
Ø Manage monthly communications including meeting invitations, newsletters, and updates and maintain an updated comprehensive list of coalition members across all sectors.
Ø Assist with set-up and facilitation of monthly Coalition meetings.
Ø Assist with data entry, distribution of material, and creation of data summaries for reporting and evaluation purposes.
Ø Prepare and organize quarterly reports and other grant-related documentation.
Ø Draft and distribute press releases, flyers, and marketing materials, as needed.
Ø Provide outreach highlights and success stories for newsletters, social media, and grant reports.
Ø Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Director
