Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Overview

Cheaha Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing outpatient pediatric therapy team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about working with children and interested in growing with a dynamic, client-centered practice.

Position Details:

• Setting: Outpatient Pediatrics only
• Schedule: PRN / Part-Time to Full-Time if desired
• Client Population: Children with developmental, sensory, motor, and/or behavioral needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Implement therapy plans and document patient progress
• Collaborate with therapists, parents, and other team members to support each child's goals
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company and state standards
• Foster a fun, encouraging, and therapeutic environment for pediatric clients

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Active state licensure in good standing
• Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children and families
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
