Position Overview:
We are hiring a Sexual Violence Prevention Educator to lead sexual violence prevention education for middle and high school students across Chaves County. In this full-time role, you will deliver evidence-based curriculum, build strong partnerships with schools and community agencies, and support youth in understanding healthy relationships, boundaries, and consent.
You’ll also provide training to professionals, law enforcement, service providers, and others, to help strengthen community-wide prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
Prevention Education (Grades 6–12):
- Deliver school-based prevention programs in partnership with school districts
- Use evidence-based curriculum aligned with trauma-informed and equity-focused principles
- Create inclusive content for all youth, including LGBTQ and underserved populations
Community Engagement:
- Provide training and outreach to law enforcement, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Promote awareness of primary prevention strategies and trauma-informed care
Program Development & Coordination:
- Collaborate with NMCSAP and Casakids leadership on curriculum and implementation
- Track session data, complete required reports, and ensure accurate documentation
Professional Learning:
- Attend monthly coalition meetings and state prevention conferences
- Share learnings and best practices with the Casakids team
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid NM driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to complete all required training
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, education, social work, or related field
(OR equivalent experience in prevention, youth programs, or community outreach)
Bilingual in English/Spanish
Experience in trauma-informed care, advocacy, or violence prevention
