- Customer service: Greeting customers, taking orders, and providing menu recommendations
- Drink preparation: Mixing drinks, pouring beer and wine, and serving beverages
- Alcohol service: Verifying customers' age and ID, and monitoring their alcohol consumption
- Bar maintenance: Cleaning the bar, tables, and work areas, and restocking supplies
- Cash handling: Collecting payment, balancing cash receipts, and closing out payments
- Inventory management: Maintaining accurate pars of beverages and ensuring supplies are well-stocked
- Point of sale: Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system for order entry and payment processing
- Special requests: Fulfilling special drink requests and responding to other guest requests
- Training: Training new staff members if required
- Bar operation: Setting up, operating, maintaining, and closing the bar
