The Nursing Instructor Faculty – LPN Program provides high-quality, student-centered instruction to practical nursing students at our Chattanooga campus. This role is vital in contributing to the academic success of the next generation of nurses by creating a learning environment that is engaging, inspiring, and supportive. The primary responsibility of our faculty is to use real-world experience to prepare students for the rigors of their new careers through teaching, service, and scholarship.
This is a full-time instructional position requiring considerable interaction with students, faculty, and academic leadership. We are looking for passionate educators with flexible availability for day, afternoon, and evening classes. Ideal candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a deep commitment to the value of lifelong learning. Responsibilities
- Provides didactic instruction for a minimum of 16 courses per year, ensuring high-quality delivery of the LPN curriculum.
- Facilitates a positive learning environment that supports student engagement, retention, and academic excellence.
- Assists with curriculum development and annual program reviews, including NCLEX pass rate follow-up and program assessment.
- Provides individualized student support, assisting learners with academic progress and professional development.
- Oversees didactic instructors and assists with the onboarding and mentoring of new adjunct faculty.
- Ensures classroom readiness by managing necessary supplies and instructional tools.
- Participates in institutional governance by attending PAC meetings (Spring/Fall) and annual college meetings.
- Maintains accurate documentation and academic records in compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.
- Monitors student retention and works collaboratively to foster a culture of mutual respect and inclusion.
- Collaborates with the Director of Nursing and nursing leadership to ensure program consistency and quality.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively mentor and lead students.
- Commitment to student success and the ability to inspire a diverse student population.
- Clinical expertise in areas such as Med-Surg, Critical Care, Home Health, Geriatrics, or Public Health.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team of faculty and staff.
- Adaptability to manage multiple priorities and varying class schedules (Day/Evening).
- Organizational skills to manage classroom supplies, curriculum revisions, and student records.
Education or Training:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (Required).
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Education (Preferred).
- Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience (Required).
- Prior experience in nursing education or didactic instruction (Preferred).
- Experience in curriculum development and program assessment (Preferred).
- Active, unrestrictive RN License (Must be able to practice in the state of Tennessee).
- Current BLS Certification (Maintain throughout employment).
- Flexible schedule to accommodate day, afternoon, and evening instruction.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
