Job Description
As a Member Relations Executive, you’ll play a key role in growing and supporting the Chamber’s business community. Your focus will be on recruiting new members, building strong relationships, and ensuring long-term retention, especially during the first three years of membership. You’ll also drive revenue by selling sponsorships for Chamber events and programs and promoting Chamber Foundation engagement.
Duties
• Promote the value of Chamber membership to prospective businesses.
• Onboard new members and serve as their primary point of contact.
• Build and maintain strong relationships to support member engagement and retention.
• Develop and execute a personal sales plan to meet membership and sponsorship goals.
• Sell sponsorships for Chamber events (501(c)(6)) and Foundation programs (501(c)(3)), including single event and multi-year commitments.
• Maintain regular contact with members to ensure satisfaction and encourage renewals.
• Collaborate with Chamber Area Councils to support member involvement and visibility.
• Work closely with other Member Relations Executive and volunteers.
• Use the Chamber’s CRM system to track outreach, sales activity, and member data.
• Attend and actively participate with Chamber events such as signature events, Business After Hours, networking sessions, ribbon cuttings, and council meetings to support recruitment, engagement, and retention.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding knowledge and awareness of member and investor proprietary business practices and information
Qualifications• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or relationship management.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general office technology.
• Ability to work occasional early mornings or evenings as needed.
• Must have full-time personal transportation.
• Candidate must work with a sense of urgency to meet goals and deadlines.
