SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None 

FLSA: Non-Exempt 

SALARY RANGE: $40,000-$45,000 


POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Associate Marketing Coordinator will work with a cross-functional team that is charged with creating best-in-class content, attracting and engaging target audiences, and raising brand awareness. This role involves collaborating with the marketing team and other key stakeholders to create a cohesive content plan that increases brand awareness, engages the target audience, and drives meaningful results. Writing skills will be critical for this role. The Associate Marketing Coordinator serves as the primary manager of the Chamber’s social media accounts and oversees the production pipeline for several blogs and print publications. Responsible for developing and implementing a content and engagement strategy that increases awareness of the actions and initiatives of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, its staff, members and volunteers. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Develop and implement a content marketing strategy that strengthens the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce’s digital presence 

Lead an integrated approach to create dynamic campaigns and manage postings across all Chamber digital assets, including websites and social media platforms to spark engagement among members, tailoring publications based on knowledge of each platform, audience, etc. 

Drive strategic development of content marketing programs to yield significantly higher brand awareness 

Expand reach, engagement, and followers using metrics to shape strategy 

Regularly generate platform metrics, benchmarks and other analyses to inform the Chamber’s content strategy and efforts 

Monitor current events and trending topics to identify potential opportunities to elevate the work and priorities of the Chamber, its’ members, and stakeholders 

Monitor the social media channels of all Chamber affiliated programs and initiatives, amplifying their efforts 

Work with contract writers, volunteers and staff contributors to maintain a consistent content production pipeline for both Chamber digital and print publications. 

Write articles for publication on Chamber blogs and print publications 

Perform other duties as assigned 


NON-ESSENTIAL/PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS: 

Assist as requested with networking events, Open House, and all major Chamber events 

Involvement in approved business-related professional, civic or philanthropic organizations.

Communication – the individual conveys information in a professional and courteous manner in positive or negative situations, demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. 

Quality management – the individual is conscientious in the delivery of project documents and continuously looks for ways to improve product quality and information accuracy. 

Safety and security – the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety, security and confidentiality procedures, and uses materials and equipment responsibly. 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

1-2 years of experience in the field of marketing or communications, including experience managing the social media accounts of an institution, political campaign, or brand; Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, social media management, digital marketing, public relations, or a related field; Experience leading social media marketing campaigns; Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of the platforms used by the Chamber: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube; Strong writing, editing and content production skills; Results oriented with a proven ability to prioritize, drive and achieve results working both independently and collaborating with others; Experience monitoring, analyzing and leveraging social media metrics; Ability to respect brand and editorial guidelines; Sound judgement; Ability to meet deadlines; Superior attention to detail; Temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities at all levels in a tactful, pleasant, and professional manner; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications-Word, Excel, Lists, PowerPoint; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and online social template generators 


WORKING CONDITIONS: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch. 

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
