Teacher Aide (2026-2027)

JOB TITLE: Teacher Aide

FSLA:          Non-exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Must pass Paraprofessional Assessment or complete 60 college credit hours or an Associate’s Degree
• Experience working with children preferred
• Highly motivated; able to multitask
• Demonstrates effective communication skills
• Able to lift 40 lbs. to shoulder height occasionally
• Able to operate personal computer, laptop computer, peripheral computer equipment, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment with a high degree of accuracy

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Serve primarily as the guidance clerk for the school counseling department.
2. Understands child growth and behavior
3. Demonstrates leadership ability with children
4. Exhibits creativity and innovation
5. Assist in instructional activities as assigned
6. Complies with School Board policies and regulations

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintains confidentiality
2. Attends meetings and trainings as directed
3. Presents and communicates in a professional manner
4. Performs other duties as assigned by Principal/Supervisor
