Chatham Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Leave Replacement Teacher of Mathematics to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school's curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
- Provide individualized support and intervention for students who may be struggling with mathematical concepts.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the mathematics curriculum and share best practices.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation.
- Uphold the school's policies and procedures while promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- NJDOE Instructional Certificate in Middle School with Subject-Matter Specialization: Mathematics in Grades 5 - 8
- Previous teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to students.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance classroom learning.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with the school community.
Salary Range: $64,350.00
